Ph.D. Candidate / Graduate Research Assistant
Raphael joined the STARC as a PhD student in August 2020 after graduating from a Master Degree in Analytical Chemistry (2019). All along his studies, he kept close contact with the study of Cultural Heritage through various internship within different French laboratories (CReAAH, Arc’Antic, and C2RMF). His major activity focuses on the use and development of analytical devices, combining various spectroscopic technics such as X-Ray Fluorescence, Photoluminescence, or Optical Reflectance. The treatment and understanding of the large amount of data gathered with such devices with the help of Machine Learning methods is another central point of his work, as it provides numerous clues leading to a deeper understanding of cultural heritage material.
